Mastermind Group Coaching

This is a brand new offering – just in time to help you make your 2011 goals ACTUALLY happen! You get all of Rhonda’s skill as a 1-on-1 coach with the added benefit of peers to support and challenge you.

Traditionally, mastermind groups act like a personal board of directors, guiding, coaching and assisting you to achieve your goals. In this model, Rhonda enhances this mastermind experience as the facilitator and coach. There will be 5 members in each mastermind group. In every 1 hour telephone session members will each have a chance to be laser coached 1-on-1 by Rhonda. And they will have the added benefit of building new peer networks that can remain supportive for months or years after the coaching program wraps up. Individuals will be matched with mastermind participants with similar goals and challenges. Or bring a group of friends or colleagues along and Rhonda will structure a group just for you. This is the year. It’s finally time to put action to the goals you’ve been mulling over. It’s time.

Because this mastermind coaching is offered in a group setting the cost is far less than 1-on-1 coaching. You each pay only $1440 for 6 months of mastermind coaching. Groups will meet by telephone for 1 hour, twice each month.

So...what are you waiting for? Email Rhonda today to get started or call 250-712-0085.

Forget resolutions! It’s time to stop “trying” and start DOING what will make you wildly effective and deeply satisfied.

What is Performance Coaching

You know what a sports coach does: she helps an athlete perform better. And win! She figures out the athlete’s core strength and grows that. She acts as a sounding board when he’s stuck. She shows him better ways to do things that take less effort. She makes him practise every week. She challenges him. She believes he can do it. And he does!

Rhonda’s coaching works exactly the same way. But instead of your sport performance, she’ll grow your performance in work and life. After all, Coach Rhonda Victoor is an expert in the rituals of high performance.

What makes Rhonda's coaching so darn good?

She’s real. She’s coached around the world (Belgium, Scotland, Ecuador, Japan and all across Canada and the USA) but still remembers the lessons of growing up in small town Alberta (picture her one-paved-street town). You get what you see with Rhonda.

She used to be a fitness trainer so she can whip your butt into shape (literally and figuratively). She’s been holding people accountable her entire career. She will zone in on what motivates you...fast! And she won’t let you cheat yourself in the process.

She asks powerful questions that make you stop cold. And after you have your BIG gem moment of realization she challenges you to take a tiny risk that will put that gem into action. It’s deep stuff, but not fluffy stuff. She makes it practical right away.

She combines education and experience. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Plymouth, England and University of Alberta. She studies with the International Coaching Federation and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. Before becoming an entrepreneur she worked as a manager: her experience ranges from oil and gas, government, private enterprise all the way to not-for-profit groups. She takes it from academic to applied.

She really does live by the words of Star Wars Jedi Master, Yoda “Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.” People who coach with Rhonda no longer “try” to achieve BIG goals they DO it!

Who does Rhonda coach?

If you see yourself in any of these descriptions then Rhonda might be the right coach for you. Confirm that suspicion by arranging a free sample coaching session with her . After all...what do you have to gain?

Commission based sales or service providers (for instance financial planners): you essentially work for yourself, under the umbrella of an organization. It’s imperative that you are clear about which tasks grow your business. Rhonda will:

  • clarify with you the essential tasks that move your business forward and hold you to those
  • break your routine of ‘keeping busy’ and any other bad habits that keep you from selling more
  • teach you to grow your network in a way that brings referral after referral

If your whole office needs training on these topics, check out Rhonda’s workshops Stop trying...start doing! and Out with Schmooze – Keys to Successful Networking.

Managers: You were likely put into a management role because you’re the master of your craft. But that doesn’t make you a master at leading people. Coaching provides a personalized approach to developing your management style. With Rhonda you will:

  • become a more effective, empathetic and assertive communicator with colleagues and employees (verbally, written, in email and while leading meetings and 1-on-1)
  • position others for success now plus set up succession plans that retain your best people
  • motivate your team to go the extra mile using Buckingham’s strength based approach

If your whole management team needs training on these topics, check out Rhonda’s workshop on coaching and mentoring and her day-long session on building colleague communication.

Potential managers: Do you have someone who looks like management material, but isn’t quite there? Rhonda can bridge the gaps in how they communicate, make decisions, and delegate. Within months they could have the skill and confidence to make the leap to lead! They will:

  • set clear and fair expectations for themselves and others
  • delegate without nagging or dropped balls
  • learn to segment time between service delivery, people leadership and BIG picture planning

And not every strong employee turns out to actually be management potential: Rhonda will determine their leadership capacity through strengths-based coaching and EQ testing (emotional intelligence is one of the most effective ways to determine someone’s ability to lead effectively)

Entrepreneurs: If you’ve been running a business a few years and are ready to work more effectively you might be a fit for Rhonda’s practise. She rarely coaches start ups: she works with people who know they are in the right business, but are tired of working long hours and are ready to shift habits. You will:

  • create a vision for the business based on a clear niche
  • hire and train employees that fill the skill gaps in your company
  • focus on the part of the business that you are expert at, or passionate about, and delegate the rest

Employees you want to keep: Rhonda works with high achievers who might just “achieve their way right out the door to a better offer”. Under her coaching they will:

  • get laser clarity about their strengths and direction to ensure they stay actively engaged and you retain them (succession planning plays in here)
  • learn to take constructive feedback so they can truly give your company their best work now and long into the future
  • hone their connection skills (they are often technically high achieving but short on soft skills)

If your whole office could use tips on how to connect better with colleagues, check out Rhonda’s workshop Connect for Effect!

People asking “where do I want to go next?” Rhonda is not a career coach. If you have no clue what you want to do with your life, she is not the one to coach you. However, if you have a pretty good sense of where you want to go in your career:

  • Rhonda will take that foggy perspective and bring it into clarity
  • she will coach you to make a decision that’s solid: that balances research with passion
  • your coaching will start off all about career...but it might get personal: Rhonda coaches on the belief that life and work are fully integrated and we need to recognize that when we set goals

Presenters (pros and amateurs): Rhonda didn’t win the world effective speaking championship by accident! Since the year 2000 she’s been a student (and now teacher) of engaging presentation skills.

  • she coaches technical people who want to finally have a proposal approved by the board
  • she coaches entrepreneurs and managers on how to capture the audience and leave them with one clear message
  • and she even coaches competitors within Toastmasters and JCI
If your whole office needs training on presentation skills, check out Rhonda’s workshop Connect with Your Audience: Delivering Powerful Presentations!

Technical Details

How does coaching work?
We start with setting your goals: 3 to 5 BIG shifts you want to make. Then we arrange telephone coaching sessions (each lasting 45-60 minutes) scheduled weekly or every second week. These sessions focus specifically on the gaps between where you are now and where you need to be. You will make weekly commitments to ensure you are applying, testing and adapting your skills. Rhonda will provide an email summary of each session, which you can use for months after as a reminder of the skills and shifts you need to achieve your most important goals. The pace of change with this process is astounding!!!

What is corporate coaching?
When an individual client hires Rhonda its called performance coaching (or business coaching). When a company hires her it’s called corporate coaching. In corporate coaching there is a client (the person being coached) and a sponsor (that person’s manager and/or someone from human resources).

The coaching discussions that occur between Rhonda and the client are completely confidential. The sponsor is involved at the beginning in goal setting, and he or she receives monthly written updates from Rhonda. Those updates are approved by the client before sharing to ensure the client’s confidentiality is maintained. Rhonda will meet with the sponsor at the end of the coaching to debrief: throughout this the client’s confidentiality is maintained. This is essential to build trust with the client and create the environment for BIG shifts and growth which Rhonda’s coaching elicits.

Does Rhonda use assessment tools?
Yes. One of her favourite tools tests Emotional Intelligence (EQ) which is at the heart of leadership potential. EQ represents one of the only capacities that are fully ‘changeable’ into adulthood. IQ and personality are set by then, but EQ can grow significantly with coaching intervention.

Rhonda uses the Emotional Quotient-Inventory (BarOn EQ-i®). It’s based on over 20 years of research worldwide. As an added perk, it is priced 50% lower than similar tools. It tests current capacity for EQ and gives specific strategies to leverage strength and improve weak areas. The assessments are done at the start and end of the coaching process and significant gains are seen: this shows tangible evidence of coaching impact and client growth.

Most of Rhonda’s clients choose to do a 360 degree assessment: they self assess and colleagues, managers and friends/family complete the 20 minute online assessment too. Some clients prefer to complete the self-assessment only: the drawback to this is that we might not catch the ‘blind spots’ others would identify. The debrief of 60-90 minutes is held with Rhonda, the client and a certified EQ specialist who will integrate the various elements of the assessment for an in-depth look at your current EQ capacity. The debriefs are very enlightening for clients and often shave off weeks of coaching effort to get to the heart of issues.

Costs for assessments are $425 for an opening self assessment or $750 for an opening 360 degree assessment per participant. That same fee applies for a closing assessment at the end of coaching. That fee includes the assessment and full debrief with the EQ specialist. All fees subject to GST.

What does coaching cost?
After over a decade of coaching people in the rituals of high performance, Rhonda has found that 12 coaching sessions is the sweet spot. We will schedule 3 sessions each month, so the coaching package will span 4 months. The cost of this intensive, customized 1-on-1 coaching package is $2700+tax. As noted above, each session lasts 45-60 minutes, and at the end of each session you will receive an email summary capturing the BIG gems and commitments moving forward. If you’re interested in mastermind group coaching (which comes at a lower cost, and with the added benefit of peer networking) check out details at the top of this page. Or if you’re ready to move ahead with 1-on-1 coaching email Rhonda today to get started or fill in the questions below to arrange a free sample session.
